Fixer Uppers On the List

by Debbie Caldwell 12/21/2022

While in the past first time home buyers have been less willing to purchase fixer uppers, we are finding that young first time buyers are happy to take on the challenge.

A study by Better Homes and Garden shows that 50 percent of those surveyed stated that their current home had DIY projects when they moved in.  Young buyers are looking to build equity without building debt.  With replacing light fixtures, paint and tile floors being top of their list of projects to take on.  Top of their list of wants include mid size homes with updated kitchens and baths.

Something for Sellers to keep in mind as they look at preparing for their home for sell.

Happy Selling!
