Room Color affects How Buyers View Your Home

by Debbie Caldwell 12/23/2023

When thinking about selling, it has long been believed that that warm neutral colors are the way to go when painting your walls.  However the colors we choose can draw a buyer to your home.

The color green for instance tends to feel institutional, so a green wall may turn buyers away.  Instead use of green accent pieces or house plants give a space an inviting feel.

Blue is calming and inviting.  The right shade of blue might just subconsciously bring your buyers in.

Black is the symbol of luxury.  A black front door or accents throughout your home may bring in a higher price tag.

Finally, never underestimate the power of lighting.  The cheapest thing you can do to sell your home is change out the light bulbs.  If the color tones of your light bulbs aren’t selling your home changing to a warm light may change the way your home feels and looks.

Whatever color your choose pick one your will be happy to live with while you are there.

Happy Painting!
