Hot Home Design Trends

by Debbie Caldwell 12/23/2023

The one truth in home décor trends is what is hot this year is out the next.  This year’s design trends lean towards dark neutrals and natural landscaping.  Today I would like to discuss a few of these trends.

Natural landscaping is becoming popular among buyers.  Out with the perfectly manicured lawn, today people want yards filled with native plants that attract birds, insects and wildlife.  The home vegetable garden is also gaining popularity as residents look to grow their own food.

Exterior paint is going darker with homeowners choosing dark neutrals like charcoal gray, black and midnight blue to bring drama to the home appearance.

Treat your home décor with a less is more design style.  Make every piece have a purpose and remove the items don’t work in the space.

Finally, when choosing materials for your home take piece that will stand up to living.  Beach front home go for tile.  Have kids maybe choose a stain resistant fabric for your furniture.

What ever you decide on make sure it something your are going to love for years to come.

Happy Styling!
