Each month brings a bunch of fun activities for those of us that live on the Space Coast. I'd like to share just a few of the events happening through out the month of April.
April 6th - Sharing Center 9th Annual Backyard BBQ contest. Contest begins at 11 AM. Come out and sample some of the best local BBQ as amateur BBQ teams compete. Live entertainment. F. Burton Smith Park SR 520, Cocoa. https://sharingcenterbbqcontest.com/
April 6th - The Season Finale for the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Come and listen to them perform a concert in celebration including Jubilate Deo by Dan Forrest’s and Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. April 13th - Downtown Melbourne Botanical Fest. This family friendly events features lavish landscape designs garden themed art and great food. The fest runs from 8 AM to 4 PM. https://downtownmelbourne.com/event/downtown-melbourne-botanical-fest/
14th to April 16th – Annual Grant BBQ Festival Come and enjoy delicious BBQ, Live entertainment and arts and crafts. Admission and parking are free but food and craft vendors are pay per item. Hours are Friday 3 PM to 8 PM. Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. 4580 1st Street, Grant, Florida https://grantbbqfestival.com
April 20th – The Party for the Planet – Come and celebrate Earth Day at the Brevard Zoo. Event runs from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. The event will feature a guided sunset tour, nature inspired games, and a dj spinning tunes to dance the night away. https://brevardzoo.org/special-events/party-for-the-planet/
April 27th and 28th – The 2024 Melbourne Art Festival. Come and enjoy the work of artists on display. The art is for sale some don't miss your chance to support the arts. Live music, food trucks, and the Brevard Student Art Competition are on offer. Admission and parking is free. 9 AM to 5 PM. 2500 Parkway Drive, Melbourne.
