Each month brings a bunch of fun activities for those of us that live on the Space Coast. I'd like to share just a few of the events happening through out the month of October.
October 1st – 2023 brevarde Library Con. This family friendly event celebrates all things library, books, and media. From 11 AM to 4 PM the free event will have offerings related to science, anime, comics, fandom and more. Food trucks will be on site. October 5th through 27th – Boo at the Zoo. This family favorite event is back this year every weekend from 10 AM to 3 PM. Come and enjoy seeing all the animals while dressed in costume and trick or treating around the zoo. October 5th and 6th – 2024 Melbourne Fall Art and Craft Expo. Event starts at 10 AM both days and features a variety of local and national artists and crafters as well as food, live music and kid zone. 2500 Parkway Drive, Melbourne, FL
October 11th – Indialantic Witch Way 5K. Come on out for this popular annual race. http://witchway5k.com/ Race starts at 5 PM and begins and ends at Nance Park.
October 12th – October Fly in/Drive in Breakfast. Fly ro drive to the Warbird Museum for a chef prepared breakfast and admission to the museum. Admission is $12. October 12th – Viva Brevard Festival. Come on out to Fred Poppe Regional Park for a great party to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Live music, exhibitors, kid zone, food, and more. Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM. 1951 Malabar Road, Palm Bay, FL

October 18th and 19th – The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Doors open on Friday at 7:30 PM Saturday there are 2 showings doors open for the first at 5:30 PM and the second at 9:30 PM. October 19th and 20th – 2024 Fall Art and Craft Festival in Historic Cocoa Village. October 19th – Ghostly Gecko 5K. Part of the Run Brevard Race Series this race promises to be a great chance to connect with fellow runners around Brevard. October 26th – Halloween Spooktacular. Starting at 10 AM to 2 PM this event is fun for the whole family. Walk through a maze of Halloween fun while collecting candy and prizes. Melbourne Auditorium 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, FL
October 26th – Howl-O-Ween Petacular. Come on out to parade your costumed pets around Historic Cocoa Village. The event is $10 in advance and $15 day of to participate but free to attend from 3 PM to 6 PM.
