Welcome to Winter in Florida. Typically what would be considered winter in Florida runs from the middle of December through February. The average day time temperature is 71 degrees Fahrenheit. The average night time temperature is 54 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures can get down to the low 40s or high 30s a few nights in January.
You can expect 30 to 40 percent cloud cover through out January and February. Winter in Brevard is considered the dry season with an average of 20 percent chance of rain for most of the season. We may see a total of 2 to 2.5 inches of rain per month.
Our shortest day gives us just 10 hours and 22 minutes of daylight around December 21st. Our longest day of winter is February 28th with 11 hours and 35 minutes of daylight. That is still a good deal of sunlight each day.
All in all the weather in Brevard is pretty consistent from year to year. We know that we will have a few cold snaps in January, but in general the weather is pleasant enough to enjoy most outdoor activities.
