Hot Home Colors for 2025

by Debbie Caldwell 01/23/2025

Every year a new color is selected to be the color for the coming year.  The pantone of the year is Mocha Mousse.

This warm brown color is as inviting as hot cocoa on a cold winter’s day.  While the darkness of the color does not lend itself to a main color inside or out, it is perfect as an accent color.  Think of a cream colored sofa with throw pillow and blankets in a rich brown to make the room pop.  Dark wood furniture against a backdrop of cream, blue or green giving your home a sophisticated look that draws buyers in.  A white home with mocha trim offers an inviting first impression to guests and buyers alike.

If mocha mousse isn’t to your taste other colors expected to be popular among home buyers are rich reds, vibrant greens, and calming neutrals.  This years color palette has something for everyone.  Just picture it your new home filled with light and color.

When selling your home a neutral for the walls with accent pieces in vibrant colors can make all the difference in the world when it is time for a buyer to decide on your home.

Happy Selling!
